Colouring with spectrum noir and copic markers - Sugar skull by the paper shelter

Hey, so here we go again with another colouring tutorial, again like the last this is available to purchase from www.thepapershelter.com her name is sugar skull, and I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her.

I Really wanted to do another full spectrum Noir colouring but I just couldn't get her hair to look the way I wanted so I gave up and reached for the Copics.
That's enough of me going on lets get down to the fun bit, the colour combos

For her skin I started with the lightest FS1, added TN2 to for the shading then went in with FS5 then finally back to FS1 to blend the colours nicely.

To do her face paint, I just used IG1 and the Blender to soften the lines and around her eyes, I used FS1 then IG1,
For her nose I used BGR5, BGR4
Lips DR5, CR10
The heart, DR5, DR2, CR10
Her eyes, B00, B02, B05
and finally around her eyes BP6

For her rose I started off with DR5 adding all the darker shades, then went in with DR2 for the mid tones, CR10 for the lightest, then finally DR7 I used this to add more depth making sure not to over do it,

Her Hair I went back to my good old copic markers, I just couldn't get my spectrum noirs to do what I wanted, I think it was more me then the pens to be fair so the colours I used are
E47, E37, E33

For some Reason while I was filming the camera stopped so the very start didn't recording but the colours I used on the skull
CT4, CT2, CT1
BP6
LG5, LG43 LG1
B02, B00
BV02, BV13
RV04
BGR5, BGR4, BGR3
IG1, IG3, Blender
OR3, OR1

For the candles I wanted to create a glow, and I hope it is something I did mange to achieve
I used
CR11, OR3, OR1, CT4, CT1
For the glow I used the Blender and CT1, looking at it now I think I went a bit heavy with the colour, and if I was going to do it again I would maybe go with one of the LY family
Then I used CT1 and the Blender to highlight the candles,
and finally for her shirt BGR5, BGR4, BGR3, BGR2 and the glow for the candle CT1 again.

Here is the video for this one

Colouring with spectrum noir markers - Drink up by The paper shelter

Hello, Today I'm going to be writing about this beautiful image its called Drink up and is available to purchase from www.thepapershelter.com, I came across this site via google, and I'm so glad I did. I emailed the lovely team and the said it was fine for me to there images for my you tube channel and blog, These digis are great excellent value, You don't only get the line digi but you also get a coloured image, a printable backing paper and you also get a coloured image merged onto the backing paper also, The price of them for what you get is excellent they are $3.00 which roughly works out at around £2.05 and there is such a wide rage to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice.

I have been combining a lot of the brands of pens I use in the videos but for this one I wanted to do a full spectrum noir colouring video.

For her hair I used GB9, CT4, LY4
For her skin I used: TN2, FS1, CR3

Her dress I had a lot of fun colouring this, fabric folds have never really been a strong point for me but I love the way they finished, I started by mapping out the colours starting with TB5, then TB4, then finally TB3, then starting again with the darkest colour, I went back over and blended the colours, I then add just a line of  TB7 where I really wanted the fold to stand out.

For her apron I used IG3, IG1 and the blender pen to soften the lines

For the potion bottle i just used the lighter shades of her dress TB3, TB4 with a little of GT2 and  GT1
For the table i used GB10 and GB8
And then for her lips I used CR4 and her Eyes TB2

I did create a colour chart for her, while I was trying to decide what colour I was going to choose for her for the video, and decided to go with blue.

Here are the colour combination I came up with

Thanks for stopping by  and here is the video
